Brakewell Steel Fabricators, Inc. opened for business in the State of New York in February, 1969. We characterize ourselves as an AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) certified steel fabrication job shop. What this essentially means is that we work with carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum with the ability to fabricate practically any product or custom item that uses sheet, plate, and miscellaneous structural members.
Our fabrication predominantly involves shearing, NC punching, CNC plasma burning, high-speed computerized drilling, bending, rolling, saw-cutting, and welding. Our customers are typically iron shops, general contractors, structural contractors, erectors, public agencies, or machinery manufacturers and other industrial concerns.
Examples of some of the items we have produced are machine bases, truck body parts, stair treads, curved stairs, straight stairs, lintels and relieving angles, brackets, cones, containers, pedestals, tables, tanks, conveyor beds, shelves, stage-lighting yokes, jail equipment, the frame for a doughnut machine for a Tel Aviv bakery, NYC subway trash bins, exhaust ducts and chimneys, wood-burning stoves, aluminum boat docks, dumbwaiter cars, Bailey Bridges (temporary bridges) for Ellis Island and the country of Madagascar, highway divider forms, median and side bridge barriers, canopies and skylight frames, industrial tool boxes, diving board supports, sculptures, and hundreds of other miscellaneous items.
