Southern Rubber Company, Inc. was chartered in 1925 as the Carolina’s pioneer rubber company. The primary focus in the early years was oil jobber supplies, automobile tires, hoses and belts. As more industries located in the South, Southern Rubber Company, Inc. began to diversify, and replaced their automobile products with industrial rubber products including hose, gaskets and seals.
When Southern Rubber was first established, our gaskets were cut using an oak stump, a mallet and a die. Over the years we have added an ultra- modern fabrication department which utilizes computer operated punch presses, traveling head presses, rotary presses, slitting & laminating machines, and a waterjet.
Although our industry has grown and changed over the years our goal today is the same as it was in 1925: “To provide quality parts to meet customer specifications, with on time delivery and at a competitive price.”
Southern Rubber Company Inc. is also a prominent member of The Gasket Fabricators Association (GFA). Our Customer Service personnel have many leading industry contacts and friendships. SRC has earned the respect and trust of both our customers, colleagues, and others in the industry. These relationships allow us to better serve your needs.
